On the afternoon of Friday, October 28th news unfolded concerning the FBI’s reopening of its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while Secretary of State.
All the major network affiliates in Northeast Wisconsin promptly featured coverage of this national “breaking story” on their respective websites. Yet, NBC 26’s (WGBA) website was noticeably quiet on the story.
Let’s take a look at the headlines on Friday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m., after the Clinton story had been public for several hours already:

Now, of course, one could excuse NBC 26’s delay in prominently featuring coverage about the reopening of the FBI’s investigation as just normal lag-time in updating website content.
However, this “excuse” is called into serious question when scrolling down on NBC 26’s homepage, which instead featured this story about Hillary Clinton, which was first posted at 1:26 p.m.:
Certainly, if NBC could take the time to post a story about Hillary Clinton running political ads in Wisconsin while national news had long-since broke about the FBI investigation, one has to wonder why the latter story failed to make the homepage?
Now, in fairness to NBC 26, several hours later, it did feature prominent coverage of this story.
However, the delay in reporting gives rise to serious concern of bias by story selection and story placement.
