WLUK FOX 11 | 1/10/2017
On January 10, 2016, during its 10 pm newscast, Fox 11 (WLUK) featured a report on the pending confirmation hearing of Sen. Jeff Sessions who has been nominated to serve as Attorney General.
The report highlighted interviews and video clips that furthered the narrative being put forth by Democrat lawmakers that Sen. Sessions is a racist. Noticeably absent: any audio or reporting of Sessions’ defense to the charges. By choosing to feature only one side of the narrative, while ignoring a counterpoint, this report presents WMCF with a prime example of bias by commission.
With that said, Fox 11 redeemed itself on the next day during its 9 pm newscast. In this broadcast, Fox 11 ran a balanced story concerning Sessions’ nomination hearing, featuring both criticisms of Sen. Sessions and commendations of the Senator.

We encourage Fox 11 to stick with the latter style of reporting, which, unlike its prior report, was free from bias.
